The Crown Electric Company was founded in 1905 and was originally an electrical contractor and supply store in downtown Baltimore. The original counter from that store still sits in our warehouse today and is used to store incoming shipments from our suppliers and outgoing shipments to our various job sites across the Baltimore Metropolitan Area.

A family tradition of excellent service
Joseph Barry was an employee of Crown Electric and in 1937 - he bought out the majority ownership of the company and converted Crown Electric into an electrical contracting company. The company was incorporated in 1950.
In 1961, The Crown Electric Company moved to its present location in Timonium, Maryland, just one mile north of the Baltimore Beltway in Baltimore County seconds from Interstate 83. From here, we serve the entire Baltimore Metropolitan Area and the surrounding counties.
The Crown Electric is in it's fourth generation of family ownership and carries on the traditions of great service and reliability to provide light and power for all.
